RESTORED CHRISTIANITY
We’re members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The scriptures section of the sites are particularly helpful:

SPORTS
Yes, the Yankees have fans in Salt Lake City. But the Salt Lake Bees are fun to watch on warm summer nights at Franklin Covey Field (although Kuei is more into watching the Jazz):

MUSIC
Sheldon likes listening to and mixing certain brands of electronica (used to DJ, but still mixes primarily progressive+vocal trance at home). For a quick set to listen to on the web, there are a lot of music streams at Digitally Imported, and the Chillout and Vocal Trance streams usually have some nice mixes, (depending on what set is being featured). But for real stuff, definately visit Neverrain Recordings (Eric Jordan a.k.a. DJ Sunrise) or do a search on the web for electronica sites (like Beatport for instance) where you can sample different types.

ARCHITECTURE & URBAN PLANNING
Planetizen is a great urban planning website with news, and the features on Archinect are great, but skip the forums:

http://www.archicad.com (Autocad only wishes it were this good)
Dwell, Coastal Living, and Architectural Record are always favorite magazines:

Sharilyn Wright’s website is always fun, and her products are just as cool.

MADEOFSUN.NET
For those of you interested in website creation details, here you go:
Wordpress is the backbone of the site. Built by the Open Source community, and huge in support and features. Anyone can setup a site at wordpress.com. No geek experience necessary. But if you want your own domain name and hosting (read more design and coding flexibility) you should setup something at wordpress.org. MadeofSun.net went that route.

Domains, domains, domains. In our experience, so far 1&1 has proved to be the best value when registering names:

For our previous, more basic website we went with Doteasy. It has a free hosting option and you’re basically just paying for the domain each year. Not a bad deal for smaller, basic websites:

Now that we have a larger site (and familly) and have used Wordpress, we decided to give 3iX a try, for hosting. So far so good:
