Crazy Kids

These guys are pretty goofy. The pantry is the coveted hideout in our place, I guess. The other day, Kuei snapped these photos of the boys. Pretty funny.

SLC Chalk Festival

Even though we are in the process of getting everything together for the move, Kuei and the boys still made it over to the Chalk Festival. Nearly every year we’ve lived downtown, the Gateway has put it on, and Brighton likes to go. The street is sectioned off for foot-traffic only, and there is space where kids can grab a bucket of chalk and doodle all over. There is a lot of great artwork to check out too. Brighton got his face painted…pretty slick, eh? More pictures on Flickr HERE

Keane’s 1st Birthday

The Birthday Boy!

Mmmm.

At Liberty Park, enjoying the little bit of sunshine outside, while it lasts.

First time swinging.

Has it really been a year? Keane entered the world a year ago today. Wild stuff, eh? Kuei made a nice cake topped with peaches and strawberries and whipped cream, and Keane really liked it. He has a ton of teeth this kid, and one has to watch out when he’s being held or you’re likely to get chomped on. He is toying with the idea of walking, mostly using furniture to get from point A to point B, but when he really wants to cruise, he’ll drop to the ground and crawl like there’s no tomorrow. Look out! Two boys in our house makes it interesting, but it is a lot of fun. We are very glad Keane is part of the family!

Eating…art or science?

Keane is a funny baby. He’s more than happy humoring Mom and Dad, as we encourage him, to make use of the two very tiny teeth now visible when he cracks a drooling smile. We know he is aware of them, at times, because he makes this odd sucking sound with his lips and tongue, when he realizes their presence. And he likes experimenting with things like carrots and squash. Squash, you say? Yes, be it squashed squash. Keane doesn’t mind. We have high hopes that soon, though, he will accept the idea, that the food is really supposed to stay inside his mouth.
