Eating…art or science?

December 5, 2007 | Filed Under Keane

Keane is a funny baby. He’s more than happy humoring Mom and Dad, as we encourage him, to make use of the two very tiny teeth now visible when he cracks a drooling smile. We know he is aware of them, at times, because he makes this odd sucking sound with his lips and tongue, when he realizes their presence. And he likes experimenting with things like carrots and squash. Squash, you say? Yes, be it squashed squash. Keane doesn’t mind. We have high hopes that soon, though, he will accept the idea, that the food is really supposed to stay inside his mouth.

Great pictures. What a CUTE boy! :)

I like the new layout too. Very clean and fresh.

I love to see baby eating, especially to see their funny expression when eating new food. I love the layout too! :)

    Nice, Sheldon.

What’s he eating there? I would like to get some ideas for foods to give Rainny. The only finger foods she has now are those crackers that dissolve in your mouth like biodegradable packaging. Clean, but not so nutritious.

    Sheldon,
Love the photos! But where is your Mitt Romney link?:) You can get some great downloadable stuff on his website. The Primaries are right around the corner! yes, I am a political nerd. C-SPAN is a wonderful thing.:) Anyway, I hope that things are going well for you guys. I would look to see some Temple Square photos on this site. It has been so long since I have seen the lights, etc. I cannot tell you how very much I miss Utah in the winter. So take advantage of all that is there while you can. The rest of the country is not as reflective when it comes to Christmas anymore. Utah is the best place to be for the 4th of July and Christmas. Love you guys! Merry Christmas!

Jerin & Yiwen - Glad you like the layout!

Adam - Keane was eating a pretty long cracker, (the remains are visible on his shirt) and it dissolves, but it is really messy. Usually we feed him the baby food, squash, prunes, carrots, that you can buy in the jars, or we mash our own vegies for him (steaming them gets them nice and soft). He is not really picky, he eats a lot, along with the rice cereal, etc.

Joe - We’ve been wanting to swing by Temple Square and keep putting it off, but it looks really nice, so we’ll have to go there and get some photos for you. And, no there won’t be any Romney links up…even though I like him and think he is a strong candidate for the Office. But I am a registered Independent for a reason! (I’m still not sold on any of them yet). :)

What? Independent? Somewhere I have failed as a brother! :) Mitt Romney is awesome! He is the real deal. I hope you are planning on voting in the primary. Go Mitt! :) By the way, the sledding reminds me a lot of when we were kids. I miss sledding and hopefully I will be able to convince Carolina to find a hill when it snows a lot! Christmas is almost here! Merry Christmas!!!

Keane is getting CUTER and CUTER every day! He’s got two teeth already? Rainny is 9-month old, but still doesn’t have any teeth coming out yet…I can’t wait to see Rainny chewing on the food with her first tooth and getting messy! Hahaha…that’d be really fun to watch her eat! :)
